As a community journalist, I jumped at the chance to write for Patch.com.  My name is Ryan Gajudo Macasero and I reside in Hayward, California.  I graduated from Cal State East Bay, majoring in International Studies with a minor in Political Science.  My work has appeared in the Philippine News and CSUEB's Pioneer, and I am happy to be reporting for Patch sites around the East Bay.  I hope to get my masters in journalism soon and work abroad.  In my spare time, I enjoy community service as an alumnus of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and advocating for various local and national causes, including: increasing the number of registered bone marrow donors, domestic violence awareness, Filipino WWII veterans rights, and human rights and labor trafficking issues.
