Robert R. Talley
Robert Ross Talley lived in San Francisco as a child during World War II and across the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County during the Korean War era. His first book, "Child on the Home Front", tells about his adventures and life experiences while growing up in the 1940s and '50s. As you will read in the book, just because there was a war on didn't mean a boy couldn't get into mischief. As one reader commented, the book reminded him of things we did as children that we don't want our grandchildren to do.
But Robert has since stayed out of trouble long enough to graduate from Sir Francis Drake High School, College of Marin and San Francisco State. At times a banker, real estate broker and contracting officer, his professional life now centers around land use and transportation planning. He is also writing a series of articles about international travel and lessons learned based on his journeys in Latin America over more than twenty years. These articles can be seen on line at Yahoo! Contributor, Ezine and Examiner. Mr. Talley's most recent book is "Staycation Destinations - Short Getaways In and Near the San Francisco Bay Area". This unique guidebook has over 70 fun things to do and places to visit for adults, children and families. Many of the activities and events are sponsored by chartible or civic organizations so your patronage will both support good causes and entertain you as well. His web site is http://www.talleytrolleystops.com.
