John Muir Middle School, home of the Falcons, is one of two middle schools in the San Leandro Unified School…More District, with a student population of approximately 1,000. The school has a number of clubs to serve its diverse student population, including Latinos Unidos, APEC and an African-American students club.
The school has ample facilities, including a library, computer lab, auditorium, basketball court, soccer field, baseball diamond and dirt track.
Parents can join the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO), the School Site Council, the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), Latino Unidos (Padres) and the Black Parents' Union.

Around 800 students attend Wilson. The school has ample sports fields and courts, and a computer lab that it shares with the adult school. After-school tutoring is available. Parents can participate in the PTA and English Learner Advisory Committee. The school also hosts a weekly parent meeting called "Coffee Klatch." A new parent center was opened at Wilson in 2009.
