Wow - no comments. Lemme break the ice.... FESS UP COLIN! The truth will set you free. I thinkRead More that's tattooed to him somewhere. Why is it that young healthy men are out carousing and having shameful sex with young women...? I don't get it, I used to get it, but now I don't get so much....

Sounds as if the woman was possibly Roofied. Blood work and DNA analysis might provide a clearerRead More picture of what happened.

Bob Melvin is the best thing to happen to the A's in MANY years! Love him and the team! HowRead More appropriate it is that the team's "Root Beer Float Day" every year benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation! Most important of all: KEEP THE A'S IN OAKLAND!!!

Rick Eymer made a "bush league" grammatical error that should have been caught. SeeRead More paragraph 2: "Since signing a professional contract with the Detroit Tigers in 1981, Melvin HAS RODE a roller coaster of success and failure." Even a sports reporter should know better than this.....

Sorry to be on my soap box. I know not every homosexual adult male is a pedophile, BUT everyRead More pedophile male adult that preys on little boys IS a homosexual! For the life if me, I just don't get why are we such in denial in this country! It outrages me that we are putting the needs of grown folks, before the needs of OUR CHILDREN! Don't get me started! I could give a rats @$$ about politics and rights. The Boy Scouts just voted against a BAN ON HOMOSEXUAL LEADERS! Hello! NAMBLA (Nat'l Assoc of Man-Boy Love Assoc)...NEED I SAY MORE?! Here I am doing some research on batting cage business, and I just HAPPEN up on this little piece of CRITICAL news! Esp. since we take OUR CHILD to this CHILD MOLESTOR's business all of the time to practice his swing. I can't believe this SICKO has been video taping MOSTLY BOYS who go in to the batting cages. He better not have been getting his jollies off of MY CHILD! I hope he goes to jail for life for what he has done. It's closer than we think, yet we all have our freaking head in the sand talking about all this PC (political correct) bull crap! Well, I'm going to speak my mind and I don't give a dang who doesn't like it.

No mention of the recently declared ilegal real estate transactions San Jose provided the As? The AsRead More staying in the black has much more to do with league profit sharing than any contributions from Wolff. iMO, old stadiums are great, it makes the game affordable to the average fan and not designed for corporate ticket holders.
migueld March 23, 2013 at 11:44 am
What a little whiner this guy is! "We are assigned 2.5 million people, the other isRead More assigned 4.2 million people," Wolff said. "We have two counties assigned to us, there are six counties assigned to the other team." Which is ONLY a limiting factor if you can't give fans a reason to travel to watch your game(s). You know - like winning. Maybe if Lou spent more time focussing on building enterprise value ON THE FIELD instead of in the condo's he hopes to build AROUND THE FIELD - he'd get more traction. Lou says he "deserves" a new stadium. Why exactly? Because he's done so well by the City of Oakland (broke) or A's fans (more broke) ? Exactly WHY does Lou feel so entitled???????

Raider games is the way to go; If you get a club seat at the new Santa clara stadiuum ,you stillRead More have to buy a $ 80,000 dollor psl , just to be able to buy your season ticket? Gonna be some expensive hotdogs and beer there
Nick February 11, 2013 at 03:51 pm
Nope, they're shutting down Mt. Davis and a couple sections in the top corner of the originalRead More structure. They will be tarping those off and reducing "capacity" to 53,000 in an effort to sell out games without the help of 2 for 1 deals, nor re-purchasing any leftovers to guarantee a sellout. Agreed, with all the violence, TV is the way to go.

If you decide to go and want to support either the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9601 of CastroRead More Valley or Moose Lodge 1491 of Castro Valley/Hayward, please consider buying tickets in their fundraisers. We are hoping it will be just as successful this year as last year. http://castrovalley.patch.com/groups/events/p/2013-oakland-raiders-fundraiser

It's is VERY hard to get into the Super Bowl in the first place. So the idea that the 49ers areRead More going to definitely get back there next year is wishful thinking at this point. It's unlikely, but I hope they do!
Palomar Parkman February 5, 2013 at 12:39 pm
The game was very entertaining for fans of both teams. That is why you watch. The 49ers played likeRead More a young team. Flashes of brilliance and moments of stupidity. The non-calls by the refs changed the ebb and flow. Their performance was pathetic and that is supposed to be the 'best' ref crew the NFL has to offer. Bad calls and non-calls never even out. I expect to see the game played by the rules. I am not sure what the ultimate outcome would have been if it was properly officiated but it most definitely would not have been the same game I watched. What a disgraceful display by the NFL on their biggest stage.
P February 5, 2013 at 03:55 pm
Palomar, Well said comment! There should have been an early pass-interference call on the 49ers asRead More well. If the refs had been making calls in the early game, players would have had to play by the rules throughout. Instead they let there be numerous late whistles and late hits (where one guy had the runner stopped with a tackle and then other guys were allowed to hit him--very physically dangerous and with game-changing possibilities of injuries and fumbles) and also over aggressive shoving/fighting after the point (mostly started by the Ravens). I thought the officiating was poor and changed the nature of the game. Wasn't this almost the fewest penalty calls that these teams have EVER had? (I'd like to hear those statistics.) Did these teams change that much from their previous season play that they now weren't doing penalties? I doubt it.

This analysis is showing how many fair weather 9er fans there are, as soon as the super bowls overRead More they go away.
Mike LeVien February 1, 2013 at 11:37 pm
And the Raiders? Look in the toilet bowl, of life.
Tim February 1, 2013 at 11:48 pm
The analysis isn't showing "fans" at all, but rather who people would like to see win theRead More Superbowl between the two teams that are playing in it. It's hard to root for a Baltimore team that features a murderer as a starting linebacker. No wonder more people want to see SF win. I am a New York Giants fan and I'd like to see SF win but it doesn't mean I'm a "fan".
