She prowled the web for men, shopped and went on spa days regularly. Lylah's trust paid people to care for her and Christel was not willing to accept any responsibility. She was awarded a settlement because of a malpractice lawsuit related to her daughter's birth. She deserved 1st degree murder charges in reality but justice for Lylah has been served! RIP Lylah.

I assume you're a resident of San Leandro. I'll also assume you pay taxes to the city.
What benefit is it to you that police are paid on such a high scale it threatens not only the civic fisc, but also public safety due to the inability to hire a police force that is larger than barely half the national average for a city our size?
Even if you're not a resident of Oakland, as I am not, similar reasoning applies. We see criminals running free in Oakland coming on down to San Leandro for the more than occasional robbery, burglary, carjacking and worse. Oakland can barely afford 600 cops, one-third the number a city its size "should" have if it were on par with the national average of cops/citizen.
I'll repeat. The outsize pay/benefits of Bay Area cops is a public safety issue that is literally killing us citizens.

How many of the SLPD live in town? Hell, the Police Chief lives in San Carlos. A safe, low crime area. What a joke!!! Police Chief Becker lived in Bonaire. Maginnis moved into San Leandro when he was made chief, so did Kitchen. That blowhard Attarian refused, claiming that no one would buy his overpriced house in Dublin, but everyone with a brain knew he had no intention of moving to San Leandro, all he wanted to do was inflate his pension. Then that erstwhile guy before Spagnoli, he was another pension spiker. These cops are in it for themselves and the money. The citizens and the crime are of no concern. The only time a citizen actually has any contact with a cop is around election time when they come knocking on your door demanding that you vote for a tax increase or against a tax cut in order for them to continue with their lavish pay and pensions.
