I am also glad that the little punks were found , but lets hope that the punks parents pay for theRead More car and put the punks in kiddie jail for a long while . make the parents wake up and know where the brats are at all the time . if the parents do not have the money to replace the stolen car , then they had better find a way teach the punk ass kids that when they mess up they fix or replace what they did . put then parents in jail for not watching the brats for a year .

When these things happen in San Leandro the police know just where to look for them and that's whereRead More they find them. Fortunately these little jerks are stupid.
BART passengers on a train from San Francisco to Dublin-Pleasanton got stuck standing for more than 30 minutes after a medical emergency shut down service from Bay Fair through Fremont.

Too bad BART wasn't as forthcoming as this article. They kept saying "major medicalRead More emergency" on their site. I don't expect them to get on the intercom and say "dead body on the tracks", but "major medical emergency"? They could have given us more information (such as "trains won't be moving for 40 minutes; bus bridge from ___ to _____" instead of having us get off trains with no guidance, and then back on trains numerous times.

San Leandro BAY? Even if you can get past the shoreline rocks, it seems as though it would be hardRead More to get rescued from being "submerged." Anyway, I'm sorry for the kids and spouse who had to endure this episode.

big deal , guess we have tom wait til schools out and see what happens . but then when the bratsRead More should be at home or in doors late at night and they are not guess we better find out and why the parents are not taking better care of the brats .

Good Catch. Now place him behind bars. Humiliate him. And show him. That this NOT excepted in SanRead More Leandro. Take it to Oakland or Hayward. -JohnnyO

I have seen several severe motorcycle accidents within the last few years and increasingly the lastRead More 6 months on 580. They often go unreported so I rarely learn the cause such as this case where road debris has been implicated as a causing factor. I wonder how many more appear to be caused by driver inattention and sudden lane changes, usually with vehicle drivers at fault? The most frequent accidents I've passed have occurred during my morning commute when motorcycles travel at greater speeds than cars between the fourth and third lanes. Why do we allow this high rate of motorcycle accidents to continue? Wouldn't it make more sense to increase freeway motorist's restrictions or add a dedicated lane for motorcyles?

I'm convinced that crime happens where it is convenient. Make crime annoying and crime levels goRead More down. Allow it to happen and then real crime levels increase. Those left and right on the political sides of the spectrum choose not understand the complexity of crime, instead staking out extreme positions. This allows crime /and/ police corruption to flourish. Not good for Oakland and not good for its neighbors.

It takes a lot more work to raise a child than it does to make a child. Even with 2 parents at home,Read More it takes work. Not only that, but I would hate to see where my kids would be if we did not have regular access to solid Bible teaching about what's right and what's wrong, reinforcing what we try to accomplish at home. It isn't the youth that are the root of the problem, but the lack of parenting.
Ken Kirby June 11, 2013 at 02:59 pm
So . . . while poverty isn't the real problem, having to survive on a single income or gov't programRead More restricts one's ability to move out of bad neighborhoods. And while I can't speak for others living in San Leandro, I for one would rather commute than live in Oakland (many parts). Keeping rent levels high and property values high work as a filter to keep us from becoming another Oakland. IMHO.

Agreeing to sex with a stranger in a public park bathroom? My heart goes out to the victims forRead More their embarrassment. Not.

The District Attorney is a bleeding heart liberal who coddles criminals and perverts. ThisRead More frivolous lawsuit must be thrown out. SLPD did a great job in busting these guys. It's the District Attorney and her political backers who let them go.

I agree. I do not want this type of activity in, or near, a park in my city. Continual harassment isRead More the best way to go here. Eventually they will go elsewhere for their sexacapades. Besides, are there not bars that tolereate this type of activity? Think about it people... Do you want some boinkers boinking in the bathroom at your local park?
