Clean Up San Leandro Creek Saturday

Please volunteer to help clean up San Leandro Creek on Saturday.

The cleanup will take place at Root Park from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm Saturday. The park is at East 14th Street and Hays Street, one block north of Davis Street in downtown San Leandro.

Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves and mosquito repellant. Bring gloves if you have them. Friends of San Leandro Creek will provide latex gloves, trash bags, snacks and drinks.

But one way or another all participants are required to fill out a waiver form.

Children under 14 years of age are welcome at creek cleanups, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Friends will certify volunteer hours for community service.
