Volunteer Creek Clean-up at Root Park

Come join Friends of the San Leandro Creek in this effort from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., but register in advance

 

The Friends of the San Leandro Creek will hold one of its twice annual creek clean-ups at San Leandro's at E 14th and Hays streets September 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This volunteer effort is open to all ages. (Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and those under 18 must have a signature of a parent to participate on a registration form.)

Come ready to work removing non-native invasive plants from the creek and picking up trash and other debris. 

To participate or obtain registration materials in advance you are asked to call 510-577-6069.

The Friends of the San Leandro Creek will also meet August 14 and October 9 at 7 p.m. at the San Leandro Main Library The public is welcome to attend their meetings.
