Reserve Sept. 29 for New San Leandro Community Art and Music Fest

Mulford Gardens Improvement Association is hosting this first ever event in its shade-filled park. Craftspeople are still being recruited along with sponsors who wish to advertise at the festival.

Mulford Gardens Improvement Association of San Leandro will be hosting it’s first on September 29 in it’s park at 13055 Aurora Avenue, San Leandro, California.

The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.

The focus of the festival will be “Celebration of the Creative Arts”.

Come enjoy art and a variety of live music under the trees. There will be painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry and other hand crafts presented by individual artists.

Artists and craftspeople are still being sought who would like to have a booth at the event. Business sponsors are also being recruited who would like to advertise at the event.  For more information about advertising at the event or having a booth at the festival call 510-517-7498.

Allison Modifer, chairperson of the festival and a working fine artist & sculptor, says “I believe there is a real need for another artistic venue in San Leandro, and we have this beautiful little park with it’s large shady trees, it just seemed like the perfect place to have a festival like this."
