Amid the daily chaos of Police Officers (thank God for our brave Police) stopping drivers carrying guns, teens carrying guns and killing other teens, teens affected darkly amidst and within the violent rap culture...remember in our day when Lou Rawls, Tuck and Patti, the commodores sang songs of love, peace and tribute to our most precious gift: Women. Now all we talk about, see, and think is killing and death. In our violent culture, should we be surprised. I grew up wanting to be like Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, George Brett...all positive role models. Kids nowadays look up to Rappers preaching violence and hate. And, on the Anniversary of MLK's "Dream speech", I hear Rappers, and young men black and white calling each other Niggah' repeatedly throughout extended conversations. When I went to College in the 80's I had to earn the privilege not to  be called a Nigger. It grieves me to hear the "N" word making a comeback by my own people. We, ourselves have turned the clock back seventy years. Please reseach the web for Bill Cosby's tirade and comments on black people. God, what has happened to the vision and promise of the black race as seen by MLK and Abraham Lincoln. God help us
