Northgate boys and girls teams win while Amador Valley boys edge Livermore and Monte Vista girls eke out a victory

Here are the scores from some of the high school basketball games in the East Bay on Friday evening.

BOYS

DVAL

Northgate 56  College Park 54

Northgate High eked out an important league victory by downing College Park High, 56-54.

The Broncos got off to a quick start, building a 21-8 lead in the first quarter. They maintained a 35-19 lead at halftime.

However, College Park rallied for 21 points in the third quarter to cut the deficit to two points.

Northgate was able to hold that margin during the final period.

The Broncos are now 11-8 overall and 3-2 in league play.  Senior guard Connor Jean led the team with 19 points.

College Park falls to 10-7 on the season and 2-1 in league.

Concord 70  Berean Christian 44

Concord High sailed past Berean Christian, 70-44, to get back on the winning track.

The Minutemen led 27-20 at the half, then poured in 27 points in the third period to salt away the game.

Concord is now 13-6 overall and 4-2 in league play. They'd lost to Clayton Valley on Tuesday night before bouncing back Friday evening. They were led by senior Marcus Walton, who scored 28 points.

Berean Christian had won six in a row. They are now 13-6 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Clayton Valley 67  Ygnacio Valley 33

After a shaky start, Clayton Valley High breezed past Ygnacio Valley High, 67-33.

Ygnacio Valley actually led after the first period, 13-9. However, the Eagles poured in 22 points in the second quarter and 25 points in the third period to put the game away.

Clayton Valley is now 12-6 overall and 3-2 in league play. They've won four in a row.

Ygnacio Valley falls to 0-18 on the season and 0-5 in league.

EBAL

Amador Valley 49  Livermore 47

Amador Valley survived a furious fourth quarter comeback by Livermore High to record a 49-47 victory.

The Dons led 43-31 at the end of the third quarter and hung on as the Cowboys came on strong in the final period.

Amador Valley is now 12-6 on the season and 4-2 in league play. They've won four in a row.

Livermore falls to 6-12 overall and 0-6 in league. They've lost seven of their past eight games.

Granada 46  San Ramon Valley 42

Granada High snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating San Ramon Valley High, 46-42.

The Matadors led 33-22 entering the fourth quarter and then had to hold off a rally by the Wolves to record the victory.

Granada is now 11-6 overall and 3-3 in league play.

San Ramon Valley is 7-11 on the season and 2-4 in league. Senior guard Logan Louks was held to 8 points after scoring 45 points on Tuesday night.

De La Salle 66  Foothill 34

De La Salle High rolled past Foothill High, 66-34, to continue their winning ways.

The game was reasonably close for awhile. The Spartans led 31-24 at the half and 44-32 after three periods.

However, last year's Northern California champions outscored Foothill, 22-2, in the final period to preserve the victory.

De La Salle is now 15-2 overall and 6-1 in league play. Senior guard Amadi Udenyi scored 19 points to lead the Spartans.

Foothill drops to 6-12 on the season and 2-4 in league.

DFAL

Miramonte 70  Las Lomas 56

Miramonte High used a big second quarter on their way to victory over Las Lomas High, 70-56.

The Knights led 17-13 after the first period, but Miramonte scored 25 points in the second quarter to take the lead for good.

Miramonte is 13-4 overall and 3-1 in league.

Las Lomas is now 11-7 on the season and 2-3 in league play. They've dropped three straight.

Campolindo 52  Dougherty Valley 48

Campolindo High remained unbeated in league play by edging Dougherty Valley High, 52-48.

Dougherty Valley led at half, 27-25, but the Cougars whittled away, taking a one-point lead into the fourth quarter before holding on for victory.

Campolindo is now 15-2 overall and 4-0 in league.

Dougherty Valley is 11-6 on the season and 1-3 in league play. They've lost three of their past four games.

HAAL

Bishop O'Dowd 59  San Leandro 55

Bishop O'Dowd High hung on to defeat San Leandro High, 59-55, and maintain their undefeated league record.

The Pirates had hoped to avenge an earlier defeat at Bishop O'Dowd's gym, but they came up short.

San Leandro was behind by as much as 10 points before rallying to tie the game at 51-51. But the Dragons put the game away in the final minutes.

Bishop O'Dowd is now 13-4 overall and 8-0 in league play. They have won eight in a row and appear certain to win the league title.

San Leandro is now 14-4 overall and 6-2 in league.

San Lorenzo 58  Arroyo 45

San Lorenzo High used steady play to defeat Arroyo High, 58-45.

The Rebels led throughout the game, building a 29-17 lead at half. They slowly pulled away from Arroyo in the second half to secure the win.

San Lorenzo has won three of its past four games. They are 9-8 overall and 5-2 in league. They were led by junior Ali Faruqbey, who scored 21 points.

Arroyo is now 3-14 on the season and 0-8 in league play. They've lost six straight.

MVAL

Newark Memorial 75  Irvington 28

Newark Memorial High continued its march toward another league crown as they trounced Irvington High, 75-28.

The Cougars are now 14-4 overall and 5-0 in league play. They have won eight straight games.

Irvington falls to 2-10 on the season and 0-3 in league.

GIRLS

DVAL

Northgate 64  College Park 53

Northgate High steadily pulled away from College Park High, 64-53, to preserve its undefeated league record.

The Broncos led 37-34 at halftime and 50-45 after three quarters before icing the game in the final period.

Northgate is now 10-8 overall and 5-0 in league play. They've won five straight. They were led once again by senior guard Greer Kebler, who knocked down 19 points.

Berean Christian 67  Concord 37

Berean Christian had an easy time with Concord High, recording a 67-37 victory.

The Eagles led 42-19 at the half and cruised the rest of the way.

Berean Christian is now 13-6 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Concord is 7-14 on the season and 2-4 in league.

Clayton Valley 91  Ygnacio Valley 10

Clayton Valley trounced winless Ygnacio Valley, 91-10.

The Eagles built up a 33-0 after the first period and never looked back.

Clayton Valley is now 10-9 overall and 4-1 in league play. They've won five in a row.

Ygnacio Valley falls to 0-15 on the season and 0-5 in league.

EBAL

Monte Vista 45  California 42

Monte Vista High had a much tougher time with California High.

The Mustangs led 25-22 at halftime, but the Grizzlies had a strong third quarter to take a 33-31 lead going into the final period.

Monte Vista outscored Cal by five points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

The Mustangs are now 15-3 overall and 5-1 in league play. They've won four in a row.

California is now 6-12 on the season and 2-4 in league. They were led by junior guard Jessica Catson, who tallied 15 points.

Carondelet 67  Foothill 50

Carondelet High remained unbeated in league play with a convincing 67-50 win over Foothill High.

The Cougars led 41-24 at half and coasted the rest of the way.

Carondelet is now 14-3 on the season and 6-0 in league play. They were led by senior Hannah Huffman, who tallied 24 points.

Foothill is now 7-10 overall and 2-4 in league.

Granada 48  San Ramon Valley 31

Granada High got back on the winning track by defeating San Ramon Valley High, 48-31.

The Matadors only led 19-16 at halftime but steadily pulled away in the second half.

Granada is now 13-5 overall and 3-3 in league play. They had lost three in a row.

San Ramon Valley is 6-12 on the season and 0-6 in league.

DFAL

Miramonte 84  Las Lomas 36

Undefeated Miramonte High crushed Las Lomas High, 84-36.

The Matadors jumped out to a 32-7 lead in the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way.

Miramonte is now 17-0 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Las Lomas falls to 8-11 on the season and 0-5 in league. They've lost six in a row.

HAAL

Arroyo 54  San Lorenzo 31

Arroyo High coasted past San Lorenzo High, 54-31.

The Rebels are now 8-9 overall and 2-6 in league play. They had lost four in a row.

San Lorenzo is 2-15 on the season and 0-7 in league. They have lost 11 straight.
