Jared Cunningham was a San Leandro High School . After his graduation in 2009 he went to play for Oregon State University.
This week he became the first Oregon State University player to be chosen in the draft since 1998, according to the Portland Oregonian.

Cunningham was the 24th pick in the first round of the draft. He was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are expected to trade him to the Dallas Mavericks, according to published reports.
