Drive One 4UR School

The San Leandro High School Athletic Department will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 22nd.  Right here on our SLHS campus from 9:00am-5:00pm, we will be partnering with San Leandro Ford to hold a Drive One 4UR School event.

How it works:  Ford will bring 8-10 2011 or 2012 Ford cars down to the south parking lot.  For every person that test drives a car, Ford will give us $20 (up to $6,000).  If you test drive a Ford Focus, we will actually get $30.  Drivers must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and there is only one driver per household allowed.  Test drives will only last 7-10 minutes.  The money raised from the test drives will benefit the overall athletic program.

While that is going on, we will also have other events happening as well.  Individual teams/clubs will have an opportunity to earn money directly for their own team/club.  In the north parking lot, we will have an E-waste recycling event going on.  Bring down your old TV's, computers, microwaves, etc. to recycle.  They will also be selling hot dogs there.

In the cafeteria, we will have a pancake breakfast and on the blacktop we will have a pumpkin patch, kid's jumper, cake walk, bake sale, BBQ, Dreyer's ice cream cones, drinks for sale, etc.

These are only a few of the things that will be happening.

We really would like to see as many of you out there as possible.  As many of you know, our Athletic budget was cut by $60,000 last year and we have to raise money to be able to offer all of the sports we currently do without cutting levels.  If you can't personally make it, we would love for you to spread the word to others that may be able to.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
