Bike Ride December 22 Departs From San Leandro BART

Bay Area Meet-Up bicycling group plans its rides around public transit options

The Bay Area Easy Riders Bicycle Touring Group, a Meet-Up Group, is scheduled to ride from the San Leandro BART station to the Hayward shoreline and its Wildlife Interpretive Center on December 22. The group has over 300 members.

This approximately 25 mile-ride will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost of the ride is $5 per person. Ride spots are limited and filling up fast. If you want to participate in the ride or future rides planned by the group you must join the group on-line first, which you can do here.

The group requires helmets and follows specific rider rules. It is only for those age 16 and older. Minors must complete special training and be accompanied on the ride by a parent. The Bay Area Easy Riders Bicycle Touring Group emphasizes using public transit to get to and from its bike rides.

You can see many photos from past rides, some of which were in or around San Leandro, here.
