Teachers, Librarians and Counselors Get First Raise in 6 Years

Employees represented by the San Leandro Teachers' Association will get a 3 percent raise.

For the first time in six years, San Leandro teachers, librarians and counselors will be getting a raise, according to the Contra Costa Times.

The 466 employees represented by the San Leandro Teachers' Association will get a 3 percent raise, which will cost the district around $1.09 million annually, the Contra Costa Times reports.

Counselors will also be eligible for three additional per diem work days out of their 194-day work year, totaling eight days, the Contra Costa Times reports.
