San Leandro Walmart Gives Back to Wilson Elementary Students

Customers are encouraged to donate school supplies for Wilson Elementary students at the San Leandro Walmart.

The San Leandro Walmart, in cooperation with Coca-Cola, is hosting a "Stuff the Bus" event for the students at San Leandro's Woodrow Wilson Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Walmart and walmart.com employees are volunteering all day for this event, and are encouraging customers to donate school supplies to the elementary school. In additions to the customers' donations, Walmart will also be donating school supplies.

"It is very sweet for our business partners to think of Wilson students during 'Back to School' time," says Wendy Ponder, Woodrow Wilson Elementary School's principal.

If you would like to donate school supplies, there will be bins and employees outside of Walmart, located on 1919 Davis St, San Leandro, to collect your donations.
