Reception Celebrates Nation's Best Student Art

Attend a Saturday night showing of works by Advanced Placement High School students at the San Leandro Arts Education Center.

 

See the best works of Advanced Placement art students nationwide at a reception at the San Leandro Arts Education Center from 6 pm to 8 pm Saturday.

“This is the only West Coast exhibition of this beautiful art,” said School Superintendent Cindy Cathey, who credited Art Department Chair Audrey Brown with bringing the show to town.

The Arts Education Center is located on the San Leandro High School main campus, at 2200 Bancroft Avenue, in San Leandro.

This national exhibit represents a selection of some of the finest artwork created by students who submitted over 40,000 portfolios for the AP Studio Art Exam in May 2012.
