New Superintendent Expected to be Selected by Saturday

San Leandro school officials are wrapping up their search for a new superintendent.

Board members planned to meet with finalists for their second round of interviews the end half of this week, according to The Daily Review.

The new superintendent will become district chief July 1.

Superintendent Cindy Cathey, 62, had announced in February that she will retire June 30. She spent the past three years as San Leandro Unified School District's Superintendent and the past 17 years in the district.
