New Location for Castro Valley's First 'Rainbow Rally in the Valley'

No wild floats or over-the-top productions, just caring people who understand that our gay friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors deserve the same love and respect that we all wish for.

Editor's Note: The location for this event has changed. New details are in boldface below.

Castro Valley High School students Frankie Canto, Johnna Murch and their friend Holly Ann Zeitz want to show the world that Castro Valley is a diverse and equality-minded community that truly welcomes and embraces everyone.

To highlight that they’ve put together Castro Valley’s first ever Pride event, a rally on Saturday, July 23, at 12:30 p.m. at , in the senior lot.

Due to the community’s overwhelmingly positive support, we now have more attendees than a sidewalk-only march will permit, and more than the RiteAid parking lot can handle.

In response we are moving Castro Valley’s "Rainbow Rally in the Valley" to the high school senior parking lot.

This grass-roots event will feature speakers, musicians and a group of people who understand that our gay friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors deserve the same love and respect that we all wish for.

Our country was founded on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness—and that includes allAmericans no matter who they love.

Frankie, Johnna & Holly would like to invite anyone in the community who supports diversity and equality to come join them and show your Pride in Castro Valley.
