Teen Book Discussion and Sushi-Making Demonstration
Teens going into grade 7 to 12 can sign up to get a free book and join in a discussion of Farewell to Manzanar, a classic book about a young girl’s experience in a Japanese internment camp in the 1940s. Following the discussion they can learn a few tricks about making sushi. The discussion is on Thursday, June 28 from 2 pm to 3 pm at the San Leandro Main Library, 300 Estudillo Ave. The teens can also come back on Saturday, June 30 at 2 pm to meet the author!
