SWAP MEET and RECYCLABLES DONATION DRIVE

SATURDAY, JUNE 9th, 2012 - 8am to 3pm

25350 Cypress Ave., Hayward, CA 94544 (between W. Jackson St. and W. Harder Rd.)

Swap Meet Fees:
* FREE parking, FREE admission
* FREE space for non-profit organizations and government sources, 15% of proceeds
* Space rental from $25.00, $10.00 for extras like tables, chairs, ground covers, canopies, etc.

Time:
* Gate open to non-profit organizations, sellers and vendors at 7:00am, buyers at 8:00am.
* Selling time 8:00am-3:00pm
* Clean up time 3:00pm-4:00pm. Organizations, sellers and vendors take responsibility for garbage. FouRFuture takes responsibility for recycling.

RECYCABLES DONATION DRIVE:
VECA is partnering with E-Waste Recycling Center to recycle all of the collected e-waste and partnering with 7th Generation Recycling to recycle textile items.

E-waste: Any consumer electronic equipment that has reached its ‘end-of-life,’ ‘end-of-usage,’ whether in full or non-working condition. Most electronics or electronic equipments with a cord or circuit board such as: Computer Monitors, Television sets, Printers, PC Systems, Laptops, Copiers, Scanners, Fax Machines, Toner Cartridges, UPS & PDAs, Tower Supplies, Main Frame Units, Networking Equipment, Mother Board Systems, VCR/VCD/DVD Players, Home Entertainment Systems, Landline and Cellular Phones, & Small Portable Devices. We also accept car batteries.

Textile items: Any used clothing item and household textile such as pants, dresses, hats, shirts, drapes, curtains, blankets, towels, sheets, handbags, belts, and paired shoes. Stuffed animals are acceptable.

CRV: water bottles, soda bottles, cans

(WE CAN NOT ACCEPT MATERIAL(S) THAT IS/ARE WET OR CONTAIN MILDEW. RUBBER, PLASTIC TOYS, CARPETS, FLOOR MATS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.)

It's more like the latter. Can't wait for the drive-by shootings and muggings to ratchet up when we thrown away $9M in tax dollars on building a new downtown SL BART ghetto.
