Jazz Masterclasses at CSUEB Features Saxophonist Mary Fettig

California State University, East Bay will host saxophonist Mary Fettig, who will perform as part of the First Tuesdays Jazz Masterclasses.

The event will take place in the Recital Hall in Music and Business, room 1055 on the Hayward Campus.

Saxophonist Mary Fettig is among the most accomplished Bay Area jazz musicians. She joined the Stan Kenton Orchestra in 1973, becoming the first woman to play in the band. Her recording credits include Mark Levine, Marian McPartland, Tito Puente, Flora Purim and Airto, Nnenna Freelon, Ray Brown's Great Big Band, Dave Eshelman, Wayne Wallace, John Williams, and many movie soundtracks.
