What's the Internet of Things? Imagine an app on your cell phone that tells City Hall the location of a bad pot hole, or being able to phone your refrigerator to see if you need milk. There are lots of creative ideas about connecting the things in our lives. Come and learn more about this intriguing topic!

Join us for an exploration of the Internet of Things, including a short talk by Ken Boak on low cost hardware used to connect devices to the Internet, and a couple of cool projects like the Air Quality Egg and a public space art project in London. Other participants may also give updates on their Internet of Things projects. We'll also hear a short update on San Leandro's fiber loop, then we'll have time for questions and networking.
