The East Bay Bariatric Support group is a peer support group for people who are considering having or have had bariatric or weight loss surgery.
It holds free meetings the third Saturday of each month at San Leandro Hospital.
The group has been meeting since March 2001 and welcomes new participants. No membership or advance registration is required. You can just show up to a meeting.

A preliminary meeting for people who have very recently had the surgery or are about to have it is held from 1:15-1:45 p.m. each month followed by a general meeting for everyone from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Whether you are just contemplating having the surgery, recently underwent it or had it many years ago, the group welcomes you.
