Inspired by Pentecost, our topic at CreDO will be a two-part series on the person and work of the Holy Spirit—a part of the Godhead often misunderstood or completely forgotten.

5/23—Other than the account of Pentecost, where do we find information about who the Holy Spirit is? Why is the person of the Holy Spirit vital in the life of the Trinity? Is the Holy Spirit really just a “third wheel”? Why is the Holy Spirit symbolized by doves or fire?

5/30—How is the work of the Holy Spirit in my life different from my relationship with Jesus? How do I know the Holy Spirit is at work in my life? What’s the truth behind Spiritual Gifts, especially speaking in tongues?

CreDO is a small group aimed at exploring different facets of our Christian faith.

It is a safe environment for those new to the small group setting, who didn't "grow up in church", or have questions about what their faith means but are afraid to ask.

Each week's topic is drawn from the issues and questions that participants raise.

Our goal is to a offer a place where people of different ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, and faith traditions can come and explore their faith through dialogue. Please come as you are able.

The group will gather in Wesley Room (Room 1).

First United Methodist Church of San Leandro is a Christian Community which believes that every person is a beloved Child of God. We invite you to grow with us in your relationship with God, through a deepening cycle of Prayer & Praise, Study, and Service.

And you think that plunking down a very low income housing project in the middle of cheap housing inRead More San Leandro is more like Castro Valley? or more like West/East Oakland. It's more like the latter. Can't wait for the drive-by shootings and muggings to ratchet up when we thrown away $9M in tax dollars on building a new downtown SL BART ghetto.

It is unfortunate the Bridge has been unable to stop all crime in Oakland. Sadly, that lesson willRead More probably apply to San Leandro too.

Leah, do you have the authorization from Disney for the use of the copyrighted Dumbo character youRead More use for your blog? I thought that the policy of Patch was to deny access to non-authorized materials such as this.
