Take A Seat For the Arts in San Leandro

Ongoing fundraising campaign for the San Leandro Arts Education Center allows donors to purchase a seat in the theatre inscribed with their name or other inscription

As the Fall approaches and you begin to explore end-of-the-year charitable giving opportunities you may want to consider making a contribution close to home to San Leandro's Arts Education Center. Did you know the theater has an ongoing Seating Campaign going on to raise funds for its continued operation?

From the San Leandro Arts Education Center Website -

Stand Up for the Arts in San Leandro by Taking a Seat!  is a fund raising program sponsored by the Friends of the(Friends of the Theater). Under the guidance of the San Leandro Education Foundation (SLED), Friends of the Theater has established a fund for the ongoing management of the theater building. The success of the Seating Campaign will ensure that our theater is used and enjoyed by students and the community for years to come.

This is your opportunity to be part of history by purchasing a seat inscribed with your name. Not only will you have the pleasure of seeing your name (or other inscription) in the theater, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you played an important role in its continued success.

For a tax-deductible donation of $250, $500 or $750, an inscription of your choosing will be engraved on a nameplate attached permanently to the armrest of a theater seat. A map indicates where your donated nameplate will be located.

Thank you for sharing this great opportunity with the Patch community. SLED and Friends of the Theater encourage supporters of the public school community to consider purchasing a seat to honor a student, a teacher, a friend or loved one. Are you a graduate of SLHS? Consider purchasing a seat with a group of classmates to remember your graduating class. All proceeds support the theater manager and ongoing maintenance of our theater building. Email me at info@sledfund.org if you have any questions or download the brochure. Jeni Engler - SLED and Friends of the Theater
