SaveOaklandSports will hold a fundraiser, mixer and fan celebration at on Thursday, September 13, from 6 to 10 p.m.
The event comes at a time when the Raider Nation is flirting with Los Angeles and the Oakland A's have been campaigning to move to San Jose.
Organizers hope the event at Ricky's demonstrates that the East Bay loves its teams and wants to keep them in Oakland.
There is no cover charge, but a $10 donation is suggested. There will be raffle prizes and a silent auction.
All proceeds will go toward an Oakland Stadium Fund. If the teams decide not to build new stadiums in Oakland, then the money will be applied to charitable projects in the East Bay.
