San Leandro Senior Resource Fair Set For September 14

Seniors and those who care about them are invited to attend this free event. This year a recycling component will also be part of the fair.

 

The 15th Annual San Leandro Senior Resource Fair will be held September 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the at 13909 East 14th Street.

The theme for this year's event is "Bright Lights of Broadway". The annual event is open to seniors and those interested in issues impacting them.

This senior fair features booths staffed by vendors who provide services to seniors, free health checks, entertainment and educational activities.  Last year over 60 agencies participated.

This year there will also be a recycling component to the fair. Attendees can bring the following to be recycled: hearing aids, cell phones, used eyeglasses, mercury thermometers, CFL lamps (no tubes), expired medicines and batteries.

Information will also be available at the fair on Bay-friendly gardening, least toxic pest controls and composting.
