San Leandro Woman Pleads Guilty In Tax Fraud Conspiracy

Latasha Ringo admitted to selling falsified W-2s to people so they could file false refund requests

 

A 35-year-old San Leandro woman has admitted to selling falsified W-2 forms to people so they could file false refund claims according to a Mercury News report.

Latasha Ringo has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to file false tax refund claims in the 2010 filing cycle. She will be sentenced in Oakland federal court on August 28 and faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, the Mercury reports.
