Attended by city leaders, BART officials and a few members of the public.

 

BART officials met with city leaders and a few interested members of the public at the downtown San Leandro station Saturday morning. 

Topics addressed included the station's sanitation (including the perpetual battle against pigeon poop) and the city's wish for a more distinctive paint job to help San Leandro stand out.

Safety came up at the meeting. A BART official said the incidence of crime at the two San Leandro stations was less than at many other stations, and promised to get statistics to Mayor Stephen Cassidy, according to Holmes
