Get Back To Nature At Sulphur Creek Dec. 31

A low-key way to end the busy year and provide yummy treats for our forest friends


From the Sulphur Creek Nature Center -

Sulphur Creek Nature Center, nestled in the nearby Hayward hills, will offer a free nature craft making workshop December 31 from 1  to 4 p.m.

Come help welcome the New Year by making "edible works of art" to string on trees for birds and squirrels to feast upon. 

Refreshments will be provided at this drop-in event that does not require advance registration.

The nature center is part of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (H.A.R.D.) . 

According to its website, "Sulphur Creek Nature Center is a wildlife education and rehabilitation facility whose mission is to promote the conservation of local environmental resources by fostering an appreciation and understanding of the animals in the world around us, and encouraging peaceful coexistence between people and native wildlife by serving as a community resource for wildlife issues."

It hosts many educational programs both at the center and out in the wider community. It also has an animal lending library which is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
