San Leandro Youth Advisory Commission Meets

Meetings of the San Leandro Youth Advisory Commission are held at the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6:00 p.m.

San Leandro's Youth Advisory Commission  is comprised of 21 members who are appointed by the City Council. They serve as a bridge between the City and San Leandro's youth population.

The commission's goal is to help ensure youth needs and interests are seriously considered when crucial decisions are made that impact the larger community.

At the meetings, youth commission members discuss current topics of interest to teens and plan youth events. Sometimes the commission is tasked with completing special assignments by the City Council.

In order to qualify to be appointed to the commission you must be a San Leandro resident, in 9th through 12th  grade and be able to commit six to eight hours of your time each month.
