Downtown Farmer's Market Returns Wednesday

From 4 pm to 8 pm through October 17th, Parrott Street will be blocked off between East 14th Street and Washington Avenue for a downtown party.

 

San Leandro's weekly street fair is back.

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parrott Street will be blocked off between East 14th Street and Washington Avenue for the Downtown San Leandro Farmers' Market.

Now in its sixth season, the market is a great place to meet family and friends, hear live music, eat gourmet foods and buy fresh produce and craft items.

"The Downtown San Leandro Farmers’ Market continues to be one of our most successful and enjoyable community events," said Mayor Stephen Cassidy.

The market will run every Wednesday night through October 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The opening night ceremony starts at 5:00 p.m.

The Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association will celebrate its 25th anniversary with cake, kids activities and more. 

New vendors include Lemus Farms (providing strawberries from Prunedale) and the Sharp brothers (bringing their knife sharpening skills),.

Returning local favorites will include:

  • Cecchini & Cecchini
  • J&M Farms Organic Produce
  • Nunez Farm Organic Produce
  • Rodriguez Ranch
  • Double R Bees honey
  • la Crepe a Moi
  • Roli Roti free range rotisserie chicken
  • BBQ from downtown restaurant The Englander. 

The weekly live music series is coordinated by Larry Allphin, of Allphin Jewelers, on behalf of the San Leandro Downtown Association. 

The Farmers’ Market is a partnership between the City of San Leandro, the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market, and the Downtown Association.
