A community outreach meeting for interested Disc Golf players will be held Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. at San Leandro's Chabot Park Disc Golf Course. Participants will meet at Tee No. 1.

The gathering is being hosted by the and being held to review options for sign and tee placement to minimize injuries of non-players and improve players' enjoyment of the game.
In Disc Golf, individual players throw a flying disc at a target with the goal of getting to the end of an established course with the least number of throws of the disc. The Chabot Park Disc Golf Course has 9 holes, but is sometimes played as an 18 hole game by repeating the course.
If you would like input into the discussion about sign and tee placement on the course but cannot attend the meeting, you can call the Recreation and Human Services Director, Carolyn Knudtson, to share your thoughts at 510-577-3466.
