Bay City News -- Three people were rescued after their boat ran aground in the San Leandro Bay early this morning, a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said.
Authorities received a report around 3 a.m. that the 19-foot pleasure craft was stuck, Coast Guard spokesman Chief Petty Officer Mike Lutz said.
Boats from Coast Guard Sector San Francisco and the Alameda Fire Department responded to the scene, and the trio was picked up at 5:06 a.m., Lutz said. All three were in good condition, he said.
They were taken to the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline in Oakland and dropped off on shore, he said.
