City Council Will Host Town Hall Meeting for Community Districts 5, 6

San Leandro City Council continues outreach with community Districts 5 and 6 at a Town Hall Meeting set for Monday, Oct. 28.

Mayor Cassidy and the San Leandro City Council announced today that a Town Hall meeting will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. for the residents of San Leandro City Council Districts 5 and 6.

The meeting will occur in the Karp Room of the main branch of the San Leandro Library, located at 300 Estudillo Avenue.

The event is being hosted by Mayor Stephen Cassidy, Vice-Mayor Jim Prola, and City Councilmember Pauline Russo Cutter.

“Town Hall meetings are a time-honored American tradition because they enable the community to gather information and directly ask questions and receive answers from their elected officials and city staff," stated Mayor Cassidy.

“We look forward to a spirited dialogue with the community, sharing pertinent information, and making our local government more accessible and transparent to the public,” added Vice-Mayor Prola.

The agenda for the evening includes substantial open time for questions from the public on any topics concerning city government, with staff in attendance from all city departments to provide answers.

Brief presentations also will be provided on the following topics:

  •  City Roads and Transportation Projects
  •  Public Safety and Crime Prevention in Council Districts 5 & 6

“I encourage anyone interested in learning more about what is happening in their neighborhoods or at City Hall to join us for what I know will be a very informative evening,” added Councilmember Cutter.
