Book Sale Saturday To Benefit Public Library

Friends of the Library members get first dibs at 10,000 titles that go on sale at the Main Library.

Book lovers get ready.

On Saturday, the Main Library will hold its Fall Book Sale at 300 Estudillo Street. 

Over 10,000 titles will be on sale, from collectibles to children's books, along with software programs, CDs and DVDs.

The sale is hosted by Friends of the San Leandro Library, who promise early arrivals a free continental breakfast before shopping.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. for Friends of the San Leandro Library. The general public can start book-hunting at 11 a.m.

Friends Membership is $10 per year for individuals and $15 per year for families. New members can sign up the morning of the sale, but early registration is encouraged.

The sale ends at 4 p.m. Proceeds will help support the library.
