Book Reading at Historical Railway Depot March 10

San Leandro library and historical railway society team up for free event open to the public

 

The San Leandro Historical Railway Society will partner with the San Leandro Library in a reading of Juan Jose Arreola’s The Switchman at the San Leandro Railway Depot on March 10 at 11 a.m. Admission is free.

The event will run until 2 p.m. After the reading those attending will be given a tour of the historic 1898 rail passenger depot, which includes over 4,000 feet of model railroad tracks.

The railway's regular hours of operation are Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Admission is free and the public is welcome. You can reach the railway at 510-569-2490
