After School Gaming For Teens September 5

This year juggling has been added to the game line-up


The s after-school teen gaming program is incorporating a new activity this year - juggling.

Come test your skill using juggling toys provided by the library and socialize with your friends.

A variety of electronic game systems will also be available for use including the XBox 360 Kinect, PS2 and Wii games.

The next two sessions are September 5 and 19 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the main library located at 300 Estudillo Avenue.

This is a drop-in activity that is free of charge.

After reading the latest STAR test scores of the students in our schools is this really what they should be doing after school? Are you kidding me.

so , why is all this stuff at the library for ? keep games at school. what does all this Xbox , 360Kineet , PS2 wii games . teach the young folks how to use computers and things to get a job and go to school and learn how to take care of them selfs .

I think it directly applies to getting the kids in the library and developing a relationship with the teen librarians. What kid is going to want to go to the library just out of the blue. You have to get them in there before you can catch their interests in what libraries are truly all about. I think the library does an extraordinary job bringing the community together instead of just providing a place for people to get books. Good Job SLPL, keep up the good work.
