Woman Suspect in Downtown Muggings Identified

Police name San Leandro woman as lead suspect in robbery spree, along with two alleged male accomplices. She turned 19 Friday.

Police have identified 19-year-old Asai Denai Harris of San Leandro as the lead suspect in a string of robberies that had plagued downtown since December 26.

Court records show that Harris has been charged with three counts of robbery and the use of a firearm.

Harris is being held on $525,000 bail at the Santa Rita Jail. She turned 19 Friday.

Two men were named as alleged accomplices. Police said they are Eric Moniay Solomon, 20, of San Leandro, and Gino Michael Freeman, 19, of Oakland.

The Alameda County District Attorney's office says both men have been charged with five counts of second degree robbery and three counts of receiving stolen property.

Freeman is out on $40,000 bail, according to the DA's office, while Solomon was released without bail.

The pattern in the robberies first surfaced .

Police got a break in the case on Sunday when a victim provided a description for an artist's sketch, and an anti-robbery team near Joaquin Avenue and Santa Rosa Street.

The suspects will be back in court Wednesday to enter pleas.
