Downtown Wells Fargo hit by Oakland man who allegedly tried to talk his way into cash.

A 55-year-old Oakland man is in custody after allegedly trying to talk his way through a robbery of the downtown Wells Fargo bank Thursday morning.

According to a police report, at around 10:15 a.m. the unarmed suspect, Tony McIntosh, repeatedly told a teller, “This is a bank robbery.”

Police say the frightened teller tried to alert a manager while McIntosh stood at the counter. The suspect then fled on foot without obtaining any money.
