Bay City News -- Police said two vehicles with bullet holes were abandoned on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland Wednesday night following a shooting that caused westbound lanes to be shut down for nearly two hours so that police could conduct an investigation.
The highway shut down at about 8:40 p.m. near the highway's intersection with Edwards Avenue.
All lanes reopened at about 11:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Oakland police said suspects in two vehicles shot at each other, and abandoned their vehicles before fleeing the scene.
As of 7 a.m. this morning, no victims hit by gunfire have been reported by local hospitals, police said.
