Traffic Stop Leads To Arrests Connected To Burglaries

Man and woman found with items reported stolen from two separate homes in San Leandro.

Two Oakland residents have been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property after a patrol officer stopped the car they were driving and found checkbooks that had been reported stolen this summer from two different homes in San Leandro.

Police say the arrests occurred after an officer stopped a maroon-colored 1998 Infinity at 1:10 am Tuesday for a vehicle violation. The officer found probable cause to search the car and found the two checkbooks.
