A 16-year-old San Leandro boy was slightly injured about 8:30 am Wednesday when the bicycle he was riding was struck at the intersection of Liberty Street and 163rd Avenue in unincorporated San Leandro, California Highway Patrol Officer Daniel Jacowitz told the Hayward Daily Review.
The boy was not wearing a helmet but sustained only minor injuries. The 47-year-old San Leandro man driving the vehicle involved remained on the scene and there was no suggestion of drugs or alcohol, according to the paper's report.
