Investigators used surveillance footage to help catch a suspect in a burglary at a business in San Leandro earlier this week, police said today.

The burglary occurred around 5 a.m. Tuesday at a business in the 1300 block of MacArthur Boulevard, where three suspects broke a front window and stole several dozen pairs of high-end eyeglasses, according to police. Officers reviewed the store's video surveillance footage and determined what the suspects looked like, as well as the vehicle they used to flee from the business, police said.

About five hours later, detectives located the suspect vehicle and one of the suspects in the 9900 block of MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland, according to police.

The car was determined to have been stolen from Fremont earlier in the week and the suspect, Joseph Garrison, 30, of Oakland, was carrying some of the stolen property from the San Leandro burglary, police said.

Garrison was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of the stolen vehicle. The two suspects who remain at large were described as black men around 30 years old who are both about 6 feet tall and weigh about 200 pounds, police said.

great, but the courts should get smart and have the bad boy,s pay for all the stuff they took and pay for all the damages they cost as well as good old jail time . they can do jail time when they are not working. so be it if the one boy is the only one they can fine, have him pay for every thing as well as the car. they wanted the stuff so bad, make they pay up and jail time when they are not working. work and go to jail til everything is paid for. who cares if it three or four or more years .just do not steal any more . you steal you pay up for the stuff .
