Suicide at Bay Fair BART Monday Night

Man stepped onto track in path of oncoming train.

BART service was disrupted for more than two hours Monday night after an apparent suicide at the Bay Fair station, BART officials said.

At 9:20 p.m. a man on the platform stepped in front of a Daly City-bound train moving through the station, BART police Lt. Andy Alkire said.

Initially, trains were running through the station but not stopping while emergency officials responded to the incident, a BART dispatcher said.
