Two Arrested After Gun Brandished During Neighbors' Feud

The confrontation occurred around noon in the 1400 block of 150th Avenue near San Leandro's eastern border. Deputies shut down streets in the area of 150th Avenue and East 14th Street.

Two people were arrested Monday afternoon in unincorporated San Leandro after a man pulled out a gun during a confrontation with a neighbor, a sheriff's sergeant said.

The dispute occurred around noon in the 1400 block of 150th Avenue near San Leandro's eastern border.

Someone at an apartment in that block pointed a gun at another person and threatened him, Alameda County sheriff's Sgt. Ray Kelly said.

A neighbor witnessed the confrontation and called authorities, Kelly said. 

Deputies shut down streets in the area of 150th Avenue and East 14th Street for about an hour while they investigated.

The man who pointed the gun and an acquaintance of his were arrested on charges of making a threat with a firearm. No one was injured.
