  2. Rite Aid, 1355 MacArthur Boulevard
  3. Grocery Outlet, 2179 E. 14th Street
  4. Dollar Tree, 14801 Washington Avenue

In the course of a robbery on January 28 a suspect fired his weapon but fortunately nobody was hurt, according to police.

Police have zeroed in on two suspects:

  1. Black male adult, 25-35 years old, approximately 6’0” tall, weighing 180-225 pounds, wearing a beanie style hat and a sweatshirt during the crimes.
  2. Black male adult, 25-35 years old, approximately 6’0” tall, weighs 210-260 pound, wearing a long sleeve shirt and sweat style pants. This man was armed with a handgun during the Grocery Outlet robbery.

Police think this pair is responsible for at least 7 robberies in San Leandro and probably more in neighboring cities.

The $20,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to the capture and conviction of the guilty parties.

Earlier in the year Patch wrote about four armed store robberies.

One of those cases included the armed stickup of the Walmart in Westgate Shopping Center. Police named one suspect in that Walmart case.

He was subsequently arrested and a suspected accomplice was named.

Those men are apparently different than the pair of bandits being sought in connection with the reward.
