Officers recovered an illegal loaded firearm concealed in a vehicle at a traffic enforcement stop in the area of San Leandro Boulevard and Park Street on Tuesday around 5 p.m. The occupants, 34-year-old Jose Muett of Alameda and 38-year-old William Yen of Oakland, were arrested and transported to jail.
“Daily we hear about violent encounters involving illegal weapons that occur throughout the Bay Area,” said Lt. Randall Brandt. “Our staff continues to do good work and recover illegal weapons during their investigations”
