Sheriff's Officials Looking for Mentally Disabled Woman Missing Since Last Week

Yolanda Carroll is know to frequent the Bayfair and San Leandro BART stations and the Bayfair Mall.

A mentally disabled woman went missing in San Leandro last week and investigators are seeking the public's assistance in finding her, Alameda County sheriff's officials said today.
 
Yolanda Carroll, 52, was last seen near the corner of East 14th Street and Ashland Avenue last Thursday at about 3 p.m., sheriff's officials said. Carroll is mentally disabled with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, according to the sheriff's office.

Carroll is known to frequent the Bayfair and San Leandro BART stations and the Bayfair Mall.
 
She is described as a black woman who is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, has brown eyes, salt-and-pepper hair, a dark brown complexion and a birthmark on the left side of her face. She was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with orange stripes on its arms, blue jeans and gray shoes when she was last seen.
 
Anyone who sees Carroll has been asked to call the Alameda County Sheriff's Office at (510) 667-3636.
