Sheriff's Seek Shooter Who Killed 20-Year-Old Man

Crime occurred 12:15 a.m. Sunday on the 1100 block of Kentwood Lane in an unincorporated area near San Leandro

 

Bay City News -- The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is seeking information in a shooting that left a 20-year-old man dead early Sunday morning.

At 12:15 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to an apartment on the 1100 block of Kentwood Lane in an unincorporated area near San Leandro, according to Sgt. J.D. Nelson.

Officers arrived to fand man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Alameda County Coroner's Office has not yet released the victim's name, pending notification of his next of kin.

Police interviewed witnesses who were present at the scene but they are now casting a wider net for clues.

No motive was offered for the shooting.
